The purpose of this study was to study on the praxis function of children with Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD). The children on the first to the third grade in elementary school in
Kyoung-Nam Region were chosen to be the subject of researches, who were then classified into two
groups, experimental group with children diagnosed as ADHD and the control group. 21 experimental
group and 11 control group, out of total 32 children participated in the research. To evaluate the motor
function of children, The Bruininks- Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition(BOT-2) was used.
The collected material was put in analysis performed by SPSS 12.0, and Mann-Whitney U test was
employed in order to compare motor function between two groups. The results were as follows: In the
comparison, we could find out the noticeable difference in Total motor composite standard score between
two groups(p=.002). And in the comparison, we could find out the noticeable difference in Fine Motor
Precision(p=.021), Balance(p=.001), Running Speed and Agility(p=.048). The study suggests that we are
able to conclude that there are apparent difference between the children with ADHD and control group.
Moreover, especially ADHD children showed quite lower on the score in Fine Motor Precision, Balance,
Running Speed and Agility. This study has a meaningful significance because of the first paper of
comparison of executive function between children with non ADHD and children with ADHD. But still
we'll have to consider carefully about researching environment because we didn’t perform the research with
good assessment devices and plenty number of the sample children, ultimately limiting the generalization
of the study result.
