This research is aimed at looking into whether anti-bias educational activity has a positive effect on the acceptance of the consciousness of general children\'s bias and diverse family patterns. Thus, for this purpose, this research conducted the anti-bias educational program for 49 elementary schoolchildren in the 3rd year of D elementary school located in Gangnam-gu, who are offered ‘Anti-Bias Program’, developed by Gangnam-gu Health Family Supporting Center, and verified its effect.
This research conducted the anti-prejudice educational program over a total of 14 sessions [for 50 minutes per session once a week] from September 4 to December 11, 2008. Then, in an effort to confirm the effect of this program on the acceptance level of diverse family patterns, this research used paired t-test-the design method for preliminary-post inspection of the same group.
As a research result, it was found that schoolchildren\'s bias by negative consciousness against the families with disabilities with their participation in the anti-bias educational program changed into the affirmative attitude while there appeared re-establishment of family concept in which single parent families or families with disabilities are also accepted as a category of a family.
