북한이탈 청소년의 수는 매년 증가하고 있지만, 그들의 남한 사회 적응을 지원할 수 있는 정책은 매우 제한적이다. 이 연구에서는 북한이탈 청소년이 안정된 정체 감 형성으로 남한 사회에서 건강한 시민으로 성장할 수 있는 방안의 하나로 여가 에 대해 살펴보았다. 북한이탈 청소년의 여가에 대한 인식과 요구를 분석한 결과 는 다음과 같다. 북한이탈 청소년이 여가활동을 수행하는데 있어 어려운 점은 '경제적 문제와 마 음의 여유'가 주요 요인으로 작용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 여가활동을 하면서 '사회성 함양과 진로선택'에 큰 효과를 얻은 것으로 나타났으며, 북한이탈 청소년 의 올바른 여가문화 정착을 위하여 '여가 프로그램 활성화와 전문가의 여가 컨설 팅'이 지원되기를 원하고 있었다. 이러한 분석 결과를 통해 북한이탈 청소년의 여가활동의 방향성으로 '심리적?정서 적 안정을 위한 여가 프로그램 개발, 북한이탈 청소년의 현실에 맞는 여가교육과 정책 수립, 소통과 공존을 지향하는 정책 수립 및 실행'을 제안하였다.
Even though the number of North Korean adolescent refugees has increased, policies to help them to settle in South Korea are highly insufficient. This study is aimed to investigate leisure to form North Korean adolescent refugees stable identities as a way to help them to become a healthy South Korea citizen. The results to figure out North Korean adolescent refugees perceptions and demands for leisure are as in the following. To achieve leisure activities, North Korean adolescent suffer difficulties due to 'financial problems and breath of mind'. They significantly benefit from leisure activities for 'improvement of sociality and career choice' and they hoped that 'vitalization of leisure program and leisure consultant with an expert' would be offered to establish upright leisure culture. Through the results, the study suggested 'development of leisure program to stabilize them psychologically and mentally, establishment of leisure education and policies suitable for North Korean adolescent refugees situations, and policy development and enforcement aimed at communication and co-existence'.
