This study was carried out to prove the effects of the emotional stability and mothers\' mindfulness on nurturing stress.
The subjects of the study were 300 mothers living in Gwang-ju city. Only 100 surveys, however, were used for the research, excluding the data that was insincere and had no answers.
The study consists of the independent variables of mothers\' mindfulness and nurturing stress and the dependent variable of the emotional stability.
The average (M) and standard derivation (SD) was calculated with SPSS WIN 12.0. Using the t-test and ANOVA (Analysis of variance), the degree of mindfulness, emotional stability, and nurturing stress depending on the mother\'s background were studied. The correlation coefficients of mother\'s mindfulness, emotional stability, and nurturing stress were calculated. Lastly, simple regression was applied to see the influence of mother\'s mindfulness and emotional stability on nurturing stress.
The results of the study are as follows.
First, elder mothers tend to have religion, compared to younger mothers. Besides, nurturing stress was less to mothers who received the education for parents.
Second, the mother\'s mindfulness and emotional stability showed positive correlation.
Third, the mother\'s mindfulness and emotional stress seemed to have negative influence on the nurturing stress.
Finally, the factors with greatest impact on parents\' suffering were mindfulness of de-centered orientation and emotional stability of self-confidence and optimism. The factors, which cause the dysfuntional interaction between parents and child, were self-confidence, optimism, tensions, anxiousness, and reality consciousness. Moreover, the factor, which has impact on nurturing stress from picky disposition, proved to be non-judgemental acceptance. The satisfaction and calmness (emotional stability) and non-judgemental acceptance (mindfulness) resulted in less mother\'s nurturing stress.
Conclusion also contains the significance of the study and recommendations and the suggested further research.
