국문초록

본 연구는 초등학교 1학년을 대상으로 아동의 행복 개념에 관해 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 초등학교 2곳의 1학년 71명(남아 40명, 여아 31명)이었으며, 이들 을 5-6명 씩 12집단으로 나누어 연구를 실시하였다. 자료는 개념도 과제를 통해 수 집되었고, 수집된 과제는 내용분석, 다차원 척도법 그리고 군집분석을 통해 분석되 었다. 이를 통한 연구 결과는 첫째, 아동의 행복 개념은 물질, 놀이, 이벤트, 가족, 친구, 성취, 편안함, 음식, 자연, 무형으로 분류되었다. 둘째, 다차원 척도법을 통해 아동 행복 개념의 차원으로 개인 대 관계 그리고 즐거움 대 편안함이 도출되었다. 셋째, 군집분석을 통해 네 군집으로 개인-즐거움, 개인-안정감, 관계-즐거움, 관계-안 정감이 도출되었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 초등학교 1학년 아동의 행복 개념을 확 인함으로써 이를 바탕으로 아동의 행복을 위한 교육과 지원이 필요함을 시사하였다.

영문초록

The purpose of this study is to examine children's concept of happiness focusing on first graders in elementary schools. The subjects consisted of 71 first graders (40 boys and 31 girls) who were organized into twelve groups. They wrote their thoughts about "happiness", which were categorized by theme. The data were re-categorized by the researcher and analyzed by concept mapping. The results showed that 1) the concept of happiness was categorized into material, play, events, family, friend, achie vement, comfort, food, nature, and intangible categories. 2) Two dimensions were fou nd by MDS. They are individual vs. relationship and pleasure vs. stability. 3) The data was classified under four groups(individual-pleasure, individual-stability, relations hip-pleasure, and relationship-stability) by cluster analysis.
