omputation is a basic skill of mathematics. It is also an essential tool to study other subjects in the elementary school. People who have a difficulty in computation have troubles not only in daily life but also in other mathematics areas such as geology, estimation, statistics and so on. Furthermore it is hard to teach other subjects related to mathematical ability. Considering the hierarchical feature of mathematics, computation proficiency plays an important role in assessing mathematics in primary grades, which was the target variable in the development of Math CBM(Curriculum-Based Measurement). The purpose of the present study was to review the Curriculum-based Measurement and to raise the important issues in terms of computation skill assessment and intervention
